Childbirth Prep (condensed version) is a free, one-time Saturday prenatal education class helps take the mystery out of the birth process, alleviate fear and helps expectant parents prepare for this memorable event. If you've already had a birthing experience or want a one-day intense course, this class is for you. The class is for women in their sixth or seventh month of pregnancy and their husbands or birth coaches. Mothers-to-be should come dressed in comfortable slacks.

The class includes lectures and demonstrations on the following subjects:

  • Breathing and relaxation techniques
  • Lectures by a childbirth educator
  • Opportunities to ask questions about labor and delivery
  • Videos

An extensive tour of the Obstetrics Unit is provided. Registration is required.
