Infectious diseases and travel medicine

Infectious disease specialists treat illnesses caused by bacteria, viruses, parasites and fungi. Many of these infections can be treated by your primary health care provider. But you may need a specialist for:
  • Difficult-to-diagnose or recurring infections*
  • HIV and AIDS treatment
  • Sexually transmitted disease treatment
  • Travel vaccinations and consultation

About Your Visit

During your appointment, your provider will review your medical  history. He or she may prescribe medicine, and order laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging procedures to manage your care. If you need to see another provider, we wil lmake efery effort to schedule additional tests and consultations at the earliest available time.

To make the most of your appointment, ask your provider questions or express any concerns your have.

  • Health insurance card
  • List list medicines you are taking, including prescriptions, over-the-counter medicines, herbal remedies, vitamins and other supplements.

  • 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday
  • 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday
