Two departments at Great River Medical Center have new directors. One has worked at the hospital for 25 years, and the other is new to the community.

Christine Oleson, R.N., is Director of Home Health Care and Hospice. Oleson worked in a variety of patient-care areas before joining the Home Health Care and Hospice team in 1987. She has been a supervisor, case manager and co-director of the department.

Oleson earned her nursing degree at Southeastern Community College, and is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree at Western Illinois University.

Gregory Fields is Director of the Diagnostic Imaging Department and Great River Cancer Care Center. He had been director of Diagnostic Imaging and Rehabilitation Services at Spencer Hospital in Spencer, Iowa, since 2000.

Fields’ experience also includes 13 years as Administrative Director of Radiology Services at Mason District Hospital in Havana, Ill. He is a graduate of the J. Edward King, M.D., School of Radiologic Technology, the St. Francis Medical Center School of Nuclear Medicine and Kennedy Western University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in health administration.
