Marsha Dace, M.S., a licensed mental health counselor, and Laura Dunlap, Ph.D., a licensed clinical psychologist in Illinois and North Carolina, recently joined the medical staff at Great River Mental Health Care Associates.

Dace received her Master of Science degree in counseling from Western Illinois University. She previously worked as an outpatient therapist and supervisor at Bridgeway Inc. in Monmouth, Ill. Dace is certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors, and is a member of the American Counseling Association.

Dr. Dunlap received her doctoral degree in rehabilitation psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Master of Arts degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Iowa. She last worked as a rehabilitation psychologist for Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville, N.C.

Dr. Dunlap brings expertise in pain management and treatment of neurocognitive and psychosocial changes resulting from injury, illness and disability. She has published several articles on the vocational rehabilitation of patients with traumatic brain injury. She also is a certified rehabilitation counselor and a member of the International Association for the Study of Pain and the American Psychological Association.

Great River Mental Health Care Associates offers a wide range of mental health-care services for adults and children. Specific services include: individual, family and marital counseling; substance-abuse therapy; and services for those suffering from thought, relational and mood disorders.
