October 7th, 2005Great River Home Health Care and Hospice recently opened an office in Mt. Pleasant to better serve the needs of patients in Henry County. The new office began providing services Thursday, Sept. 15.
“When Crossroads Home Care and Hospice of Southeast Iowa closed nearly two years ago, most of their patients were transferred to our service and we hired several of their caregivers,” said Chris Oleson, director, Great River Home Health Care and Hospice. “Since then, it has become increasingly apparent that the residents of Henry County would benefit from a more permanent presence from a local provider who understands their needs.”
The office is staffed by three registered nurses, two certified nurse aids, one social worker, one physical therapist and one clerk. All staff members in the Mt. Pleasant office are Henry County residents.
A public open house and ribbon cutting for Great River Home Health Care and Hospice’s Mt. Pleasant office is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21. The offices are located at 501 S. White, Suite 24, and the telephone number is (319) 986-6325, or toll-free at (877) 404-4766.
