June 22nd, 2007Great River Medical Center recently received several awards recognizing communications efforts by the hospital’s Public Relations Department. The following projects were honored:
• Web-site home page – The home page for Great River Health Systems’ Web site (www.greatrivermedical.org) received a Platinum Hermes Creative Award from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. This year’s Hermes Creative Awards included nearly 3,500 entries from throughout the world. About 15 percent of the entries received a platinum award.
• PulseBeat: Heart and Vascular Medicine – This half-hour television newsmagazine also received a Platinum Hermes Creative Award. PulseBeat is a quarterly show that focuses on Great River Health Systems services. The first edition of PulseBeat looked at the services offered through Great River Heart and Vascular Center.
• 2007 Employee Calendar – This publication received an Award of Distinction from The Communicator Awards, an international competition that recognizes outstanding work in the communications field. The calendar also received a Gold Hermes Creative Award. Approximately 18 percent of the entries received a gold award. The calendar features photographs taken by Great River Health Systems employees.
• Outstanding Customer Service: The Video – This video project received Bronze Telly awards in three categories: Corporate Image, Employee Communications and Recruitment. This year’s Telly Awards included more than 13,000 entries from throughout the world. The 15-minute video was created to promote the health systems’ nationally recognized customer-service philosophy. The video is used for new-employee orientation, professional recruitment, and presentations to groups and organizations.
