Great River Center for Rehabilitation will offer infant massage classes from 9 to 10 a.m. the first Saturday of every month beginning May 5. The center is located at 1401 W. Agency Rd., West Burlington.

In the classes, parents and caregivers will learn massage strokes that reinforce bonding and may improve the health and well being of children. Benefits include enhancing relaxation and learning, improving sleep, relieving discomfort and helping children with special needs.

Infant massage is taught by licensed massage therapist Karen Piper, who is certified by the International Association of Infant Massage and the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.

The cost of the first class is $30, which includes a book, music CD, small bottle of oil, toy and information packet. Follow-up sessions are $15. For more information or to register, please call the Center for Rehabilitation at (319) 768-4100.
