March 17th, 2008Great River Hospice will host Living with Grief: Children and Adolescents, a live teleconference via satellite, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, in the private dining room, Building 400, at Southeastern Community College.
The teleconference will feature an expert panel discussing grieving children and adolescents, and the best ways to support them. It will include the most-current theories and practices, and combine academic research with hands-on ideas for use in support groups and other settings.
The teleconference is free and open to the public. Three contact hours of continuing education are approved for more than 70 professions, excluding nursing. Information about credit and fees will be available at the teleconference.
The teleconference is produced by Hospice Foundation of America, a not-for-profit organization that acts as an advocate for the hospice concept of care through ongoing programs of professional education, public information and research on issues relating to illness, loss, grief and bereavement. The program is produced in cooperation with The Foundation for End-of-Life Care.
