Learn about Medicare benefits at a free two-hour seminar offered by the Iowa’s Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) and Great River Medical Center. Welcome to Medicare will include information on Part A and Part B benefits, the prescription drug benefit (Part D), Medicare Advantage plans and supplemental insurance. It is scheduled from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 4, and 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Aug. 6, in the medical center’s Oak and Walnut rooms. The address is 1221 S. Gear Ave., West Burlington.

“We are excited to offer this free seminar to the community,” said Staci Fry, director, Volunteer Services, Great River Medical Center. “Medicare is an important program. Understanding what it offers helps ensure that that people who are eligible receive the health benefits they deserve.”
