“A Night of Music,” a program featuring performances by Great River Hospice’s volunteer musicians, is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan 18, in the lobby of Mercy Plaza, 1225 S. Gear Ave., West Burlington. Refreshments will be available.
Music is beneficial for hospice patients because it may help relieve pain, manage stress, enhance memory and improve communication. About 60 local musicians provide instrumental and vocal music for Great River Hospice patients at Great River Hospice House, patients’ homes, hospitals and long-term-care centers.
Musicians who are interested in volunteering are invited to attend “A Night of Music,” or call Great River Hospice at (319) 768-3350, or toll-free (877) 404-4766.
