Great River Orthopaedic Specialists has added rheumatologist Dany Saad, M.D., and spine surgeon Doug Foster, M.D., to its medical staff. In addition, the practice will be one of the first services to open later this month in the new Great River Wellness Plaza.

Dr. Saad brings the first full-time physician-level rheumatology service to the area. He primarily treats joint and soft-tissue problems, including autoimmune diseases, vasculitis and connective tissue disorders. Dr. Saad received his medical degree from Lebanese University. He then completed residencies in family medicine and internal medicine at the American University of Beirut. Dr. Saad recently completed a rheumatology fellowship at the University of Utah. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Foster has provided surgical spine care to area patients since 2005. His services now will be offered through Great River Orthopaedic Specialists. Dr. Foster received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. He then completed his residency at Louisiana State University Medical Center and a fellowship in spinal deformity and spinal injury at the University of Southern California’s Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center. Dr. Foster is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and the American Board of Spine Surgery.

Beginning Monday, Aug. 12, Great River Orthopaedic Specialists will begin seeing patients in their new offices at Great River Wellness Plaza (formerly Great River Center for Rehab and Clinics), Suite 101, 1401 W. Agency Road, West Burlington. Besides Drs. Foster and Saad, Great River Orthopaedic Specialists’ medical staff includes:

  • L. Nathan Gause, M.D. – Dr. Gause specializes in foot and ankle surgery.
  • Atiba Jackson, M.D. – Dr. Jackson specializes in sports medicine.
  • Theron Jameson, D.O. – Dr. Jameson’s primary focus is total joint replacement.
