Beginning Monday, Jan. 21, Great River QuickCare will expand its hours to include weekday mornings and weekends. In addition, nurse practitioner Kendra Struck began seeing patients at the clinic earlier this month. She joins nurse practitioner Tami Fischer, who has worked at the clinic since it opened in October 2012.

A service of Great River Health Systems, Great River QuickCare provides affordable treatment of common illnesses. The clinic is intended for people without a family physician or when an immediate appointment is not available for those with a physician. The clinic is open to anyone 18 months and older, and no appointment is necessary. Insurance, cash, credit or debit cards are accepted.

The new extended hours are:

  • 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday
  • 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday
  • Noon to 5 p.m. Sunday

Conditions treated include:

  • Allergies
  • Athlete’s foot
  • Bladder infections
  • Cold and flu
  • Cold sores
  • Ear infections
  • Insect bites
  • Laryngitis
  • Minor burns and rashes
  • Mononucleosis
  • Ringworm
  • Sinus infection
  • Sore throats
  • Upper-respiratory infections

Laboratory services:

  • Influenza rapid diagnostic test
  • Mononucleosis spot test
  • Pregnancy test
  • Rapid strep test
  • Urinalysis
