Loan/Scholarship Program

Great River Health Systems’ Loan/Scholarship Program helps students pay for tuition. Loans/scholarships are repayable in time, money or both after graduation from an accredited health care education program. The program gives preference to difficult-to-recruit positions and students nearing the end of their academic programs.

Students have three choices when coursework is completed:

  • The health system will forgive portions of the loan every two weeks for two years if the student accepts employment at Great River Health Systems.
  • The loan becomes a scholarship and repayment is not required If a position is unavailable because of business conditions.
  • The student must repay the loan with interest If Great River Health Systems offers a job but the student does not accept the offer.
