GreatRiver Wound and Hyperbaric Clinic accredited with distinction by Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS)

In September 2014, Great River Wound and Hyperbaric Clinic was awarded four-year accreditation with distinction from the UHMS.

Hyperbaric facilities must meet more than 700 standards to become accredited. They include patient care and rights, administration, education, infection control, maintenance and quality.  Achieving accreditation with distinction recognizes superior performance in specific activities and standards.

UHMS is a nonprofit professional organization that serves members in more than 50 countries. It is a member of The Joint Commission’s Liaison Network and uses the commission’s guidelines for accreditation.


Great River Wound and Hyperbaric Clinic earns The Joint Commission’s certification with distinction for Disease-specific Care in Wound Management

In December 2014, The Joint Commission awarded Great River Wound and Hyperbaric Clinic certification with distinction in the management of Wound Care for a two-year period. The clinic has been certified by The Joint Commission since 2006.

The Joint Commission's Disease-Specific Care (DSC) certification program is deisgned to evaluate clinical programs across the continuum of care.

Certified programs are required to regularly submit data on standardized performance measures to The Joint Commission.
